Destinata School is a remedial school that offers a comprehensive curriculum (CAPS)

The school caters to learners from grade R to grade 12 who have specific learning disabilities. The primary objective of Destinata School is to provide these learners with the best possible education through small, well-equipped classes.
Additionally, the school has a robust support system with an auxiliary department that offers speech, occupational, and remedial therapy to assist learners in overcoming their challenges. To accommodate students from various regions, Destinata School also operates an extensive transport system.

At Destinata School, we implement the Phono-Graphix method to help learners develop strong reading and spelling skills. This innovative, research-based approach focuses on teaching students the fundamental principles of the English and Afrikaans language through sound and symbol recognition. By breaking down words into their phonetic components, our trained educators guide students in mastering reading and writing, ensuring they build a solid foundation for literacy that supports their overall academic success.

Whats Happening
At Destinata, we are committed to continuously developing and enhancing our infrastructure to support our learners' journey. We have recently initiated projects to build new playgrounds, audio labs, renovate the rugby field, and establish a sensory audio gym, ensuring that our facilities meet the needs of our school community.
